The Kemptown area has its personal small annual avenue pageant, the Kemptown Carnival, and the Hanover space similarly has a “Hanover Day”. Since the demolition in 1978 of the Black Rock open-air lido at the jap end of Brighton’s seafront, the area has been developed and now features certainly one of Europe’s largest marinas.
